Mini-Scientist - Can you Trust Your Eyes

The day started very early following a week of anticipation and development. Charlie, Oisín, Séamas and Donnacha, started their project in late September and advanced from our school exhibition following a tough competition with other boys and girls from 5th and 6th class. 

Today they represented Scoil Bhríde, Straffan NS in TU Dublin, Blanchardstown at the Mini Scientist Finals. There project "Can You Trust Your Eyes" continued to be developed since the first round in school. They proudly and passionately spoke about their project to everyone that visited their exhibition stand.

We are immensely proud of their achievements in reaching the final. Well done boys.

Senior G.A.A.  Both our girls and boys senior teams were competing in Cumann na mBunscoil gaelic football since Easter. Both teams played three tight matches which ended today. The girls were very unfortunate to lose by 2 points in their last match against Scoil Choca Naofa while the boys lost by 2 after extra time. This double header will surely be core memories for the 6th class pupils involved. It is so great to see them giving their all in the Straffan NS jersey and we strongly encourage them to continue representing their future schools as well. Such great talent amongst the group.

Well done to the boys and girls who competed in the Cumann na mBunscol Cross Country races today in Ráthcoffey GAA ​All involved showed great fitness and determination, navigating a long course against strong competition. Representing the school at this level requires significant effort, and every runner should be proud of finishing their race. ​ Thanks to all involved in organising an event of this size.  ​
