Christmas Message - Mrs. Colleran

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the year draws to a close, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we have shared at Scoil Bhríde, Straffan throughout 2025. Together, we have celebrated many successes, supported one another through challenges, and continued to nurture a school community rooted in kindness, learning, and growth.

The lead-up to the holidays has been as busy and joyful as ever. Our Junior Infant Nativity plays brought great delight to the school community, as did the wonderful 2nd Class production of Jungle Quest. Our Carol Services were truly magical, and the recent visit from Santa was filled with excitement, song, and festive spirit. The school choir provided beautiful music, supported by our parent and renowned musician, Derek O’Connor, creating a memorable occasion for all. With the Christmas holidays upon us, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families for a joyful Christmas and a bright start to the New Year. May this special time be filled with peace, laughter, and togetherness as you create cherished memories with your loved ones.

I would also like to sincerely thank our parent community for your continued partnership in making Scoil Bhríde such a supportive and inspiring place for our children. Our Parents’ Association has worked closely with the school to provide each class with a selection of board games for rainy-day activities, while also supporting the introduction of the new Primary Mathematics Curriculum. Many thanks as well to Santa for delivering these much-appreciated games to the classrooms this week!

As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited about the opportunities the New Year will bring. I hope the Christmas season offers everyone the chance to rest, recharge, and return refreshed for another wonderful chapter together.
